Does anyone actually *make* money yield farming beyond the first few hours?
I'm genuinely curious if anyone here is consistently profitable with yield farming beyond the initial mad dash when a new pool launches. It feels like 99% of the 'yield' is either eaten by impermanent loss, gas fees, or simply the token price dumping once the early money moves on. We see these insane APY numbers, but real returns often end up being negligible or even negative. Is it just me, or is the entire 'passive income' narrative for DeFi yield largely a fallacy for the average participant?
Prove me wrong. I'm open to being convinced.
Totally agree. It feels like the insane APY numbers are mostly just bait, and the actual gains are pretty elusive unless you're incredibly fast or have a ton of capital to throw around. I've mostly stuck to more established pools to avoid the immediate price dumps.
