WETH taking a beating, wondering if the broader market pull-back is a setup

Watching $WETH drop almost 7% today, now at 1.07, and it's making me reconsider some of the DeFi plays I've been eyeing. Is this just typical crypto volatility or a sign that the wider market downturn is finally hitting the more speculative assets harder, setting up for a deeper retrace across the board? I'm curious if others are seeing this as a buying opportunity, or if the current macro climate is making you wait for more clarity before jumping back into DeFi. The intraday range of 0.9801 to 1.1732 is wild, not really inspiring confidence.

It's a tough call, isn't it? That WETH drop certainly gives pause. I'm leaning more towards it being a reflection of the broader market and macro uncertainty finally catching up, rather than just isolated crypto volatility. Makes me hesitant to jump in just yet.

It's hard to distinguish typical crypto volatility from macro climate impacts when both seem to be constantly at play. A 7% drop isn't exactly unprecedented in this space; it just feels more significant when the broader market is also under pressure. I'm not sure I'd label it a clear "buying opportunity" just yet without seeing some stabilization.
