KYB/Onboarding Delays & Fee Structures for Smaller Prop Firms

Anyone else finding that the onboarding and Know Your Business (KYB) process for some of the newer, smaller prop firms is becoming an increasingly significant bottleneck? We've been looking at diversifying our execution venues for a particular strategy involving $EURUSD and some minor cross pairs, and the lead times from initial contact to fully operational accounts are stretching out unexpectedly. It's not just the document collection, but the back-and-forth, the re-submission requests for minor details, and the general lack of clarity on what's actually holding things up.

Beyond that, for those who've successfully navigated these hurdles, what are your experiences with the 'all-in' fee structures? We're seeing some attractive nominal spreads, but once you factor in commissions, platform fees, and less transparent data charges, the effective cost per trade can vary wildly. Trying to get a truly apples-to-apples comparison on total cost of ownership has been an exercise in frustration. Any insights on navigating these points would be appreciated.
