Onboarding Friction for OTC Block Trades

Anyone else finding the KYC/AML process for new institutional accounts increasingly cumbersome when trying to set up OTC block trade lines? We've had a few promising deals stall out simply because getting through the onboarding for a new counterparty, especially smaller, agile prop shops, feels like navigating a bureaucratic maze. It's slowing down deal flow unnecessarily.

Yeah, it's definitely a common pain point. Have you tried looking into any of the newer tech solutions or consortiums that aim to streamline that KYC/AML data sharing for institutional onboarding? Seems like a natural fit for blockchain, but not sure how mature those offerings are yet.

That's an interesting point. I've always wondered how smaller firms manage the compliance burden when they're trying to move quickly on deals. Is it mainly the documentation volume, or are there specific aspects of KYC/AML that seem to be the biggest bottleneck?
