USDCAD - Still eyeing that 1.4000 psychological level

Been watching $USDCAD bounce around for a bit now, and that 1.4000 level is really becoming interesting. We dipped just below it today to about 1.40027, but it seems to be acting as quite a stubborn support. If we get a sustained break below 1.4000, especially on a daily close, I'd expect some real acceleration towards the downside. On the flip side, continued consolidation above it, perhaps with a push past 1.40147, could signal a renewed attempt towards higher resistance levels. My immediate thought is that a clear break one way or the other from this band around 1.4000-1.4015 will dictate the next short-term move. The risk here, for me, is that it just chop around in this range for a while longer, making any directional bet a coin toss.
