My costly lesson in chasing breakouts on low volume for BTC
Learned a pretty expensive lesson recently chasing a couple of what looked like decent breakouts on $BTC, only for them to fade back into range almost immediately. The common thread was low volume on those initial pushes, which in hindsight should have been a massive red flag for me. I got caught up in the FOMO of seeing price move and just jumped in without checking the underlying conviction. It ended up being a classic liquidity grab, punishing anyone who bought into the initial move. Always verify those moves with solid volume, especially on crypto.
Low volume breakouts are almost always traps. You need strong conviction, not just price action, especially with something as manipulated as BTC. Stick to your rules, the FOMO is a killer.
