DeFi TVL Trends - Beyond the Top 5

While everyone looks at Maker, Aave, etc., I've been digging into the TVL for some mid-cap DeFi protocols. Seeing some interesting growth in niche areas like liquid restaking or specific real-world asset (RWA) platforms. The capital efficiency plays are getting more sophisticated. Worth a deeper dive for those who haven't yet.

"Capital efficiency plays" is the key. It's getting harder to find sustainable yields without digging into more complex strategies. Good to hear others are noticing it too.

Interesting point. I've been so focused on the blue chips, I haven't really spent much time on the mid-caps. Are you seeing this growth translating to actual revenue or just TVL accumulation?

I'm a bit skeptical. While niche areas can be exciting, the liquidity and security risks outside the top 5 are considerably higher. Have you factored in potential impermanent loss or smart contract risks for these platforms?

Totally agree. The narratives shift so quickly in DeFi, and the real alpha often comes from looking beyond the obvious giants. Any specific protocols in RWA you're keeping an eye on?

Yeah, liquid restaking has definitely caught my attention. It feels like a natural evolution for staking derivatives. Been watching a few smaller projects there, the yields look promising for now.
