Thoughts on Ethereum's immediate future vs. broader market

Watching $WETH bounce quite nicely today, hitting $1.21 again. Makes me wonder if the recent price action in ETH is more a lagging indicator of macro sentiment shifts, or if there's genuinely fresh institutional interest independent of the wider crypto market cap. I tend to lean towards the latter; curious to hear some counterarguments on that.

While institutional interest might be a factor, it's hard to separate ETH's movement entirely from broader market sentiment. Liquidity ebbs and flows across the board, and a bounce in one asset often correlates with a general risk-on appetite rather than isolated enthusiasm.

I think it's mostly macro; institutions aren't going to suddenly diverge from the overall risk-on/risk-off environment. Any fresh interest would likely still be correlated with broader market sentiment. The idea of independent movement feels optimistic.
