ESG Reporting Frameworks for Financial Services

With increasing pressure on ESG, which reporting frameworks are gaining traction for financial institutions? TCFD is a given, but are firms finding value in others for internal risk management or external disclosure? Struggling to streamline data collection across various ESG metrics.

Definitely agree on TCFD being table stakes. For internal risk management, a lot of firms are starting to lean into SASB standards for specific industry-material issues. It's more granular than some of the broader frameworks, which helps with identifying actual financial risks and opportunities related to ESG. Still, data collection remains a beast.

While TCFD and SASB are important, don't overlook the impact of CSRD for those with European operations or significant business there. Even if not directly applicable yet, the data requirements are pretty extensive and will inevitably influence best practices globally. It's a lot to manage, but the pressure isn't going away.
