Thoughts on Energy after the recent CPI print and $OIL's move

Been looking at the energy sector, specifically how it's reacting to the recent CPI numbers and the steady creep up in $OIL prices. CPI came in a touch hotter than some expected, which often puts a damper on growth-sensitive sectors, but $OIL is just pushing higher, currently sitting around $28.42. It’s interesting to see the divergence – you'd think higher inflation might eventually feed into higher demand destruction narratives, but the supply side seems to be the more dominant force right now.

I'm watching $XLE closely, trading around $63.58. It's held up fairly well, oscillating within a tight range today. My initial thought was that a hotter CPI might spark some risk-off in broader equities, and energy might get dragged, but the oil market seems to have its own agenda. I'm curious if this resilience in crude can continue to buoy energy names, even if the macro picture starts to get a bit more challenging with potential rate hikes. For now, it seems like the supply-demand balance in oil is outweighing some of the broader inflation concerns in terms of sector performance. What are others seeing in their energy watchlists? Any names you think are particularly well-positioned or vulnerable?

The divergence is definitely worth watching. Do you think the market is pricing in sustained demand despite rate hike fears, or is it more supply-side constraints driving oil's climb?
