Chasing the GBP/JPY move cost me more than just money

Was watching $GBPUSD and $USDJPY making their respective moves, saw the $GBPJPY cross really cranking. Instead of letting it go, I decided to jump in on a pullback, thinking I'd missed the initial leg. Ended up getting chopped out twice for what should have been a nice winner had I just waited for the next setup instead of trying to force it. The real cost wasn't just the two small losses, but the time spent nursing those trades when I could have been focused on better opportunities.

Ah, the old 'FOMO-induced self-inflicted wound' scenario. Happens to the best of us. Next time, maybe just admire the cranking from afar, like a responsible adult admiring a really fast, but ultimately unobtainable, sports car.

It's so tough when you see a big move happening and feel that pressure to jump in, even if it's not the cleanest entry. How do you usually manage that urge to chase after you've missed the initial push?
