Onboarding/KYB friction with international brokers for US traders - is it getting worse?

It seems like every few months there's a new hurdle when trying to open an account with non-US brokers, especially those with competitive spreads for $EURUSD or decent crypto derivative offerings. The KYC/KYB process has gone from a minor annoyance to a full-blown interrogation sometimes. I'm talking about absurd document requests, endless verification loops, or outright rejections for reasons that are never quite clear. Anyone else feel like the goalposts keep moving, or have you found a better way to navigate this without compromising on liquidity or fees?

เป็นปัญหาที่น่าหงุดหงิดจริงๆ ค่ะ ยิ่งช่วงนี้กฎระเบียบต่างๆ เข้มงวดขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ก็ยิ่งทำให้ขั้นตอนการเปิดบัญชีกับโบรกเกอร์ต่างประเทศยุ่งยากตามไปด้วย

I've definitely noticed this too. It feels like I'm always running into issues, especially with proof of address documents. Have you had any luck with specific brokers that seem to have a smoother process, or is it pretty much hit or miss across the board?

I've definitely noticed this too. It feels like they're making it harder and harder for US traders to access those international options, which is a shame when you're looking for better spreads or different products. Wonder if it's all driven by regulatory pressure.
