Thoughts on broker liquidity during high volatility events?

Curious to hear about anyone's recent experiences with broker liquidity, especially regarding major $EURUSD or $BTC moves, and if you've seen noticeable slippage widen considerably more than usual. Some platforms seem to handle it better than others.

I've definitely noticed some wider spreads and increased slippage on my last few trades during big news releases, especially with the crypto volatility lately. Do you think it's more about the broker's underlying liquidity providers, or their own internal matching engines?
