Understanding Position Sizing in Practice
It's easy to preach 'risk management,' but position sizing is where the rubber meets the road. Simply put, it's deciding how much capital to allocate to a given trade, which fundamentally dictates your exposure. You wouldn't risk the same percentage of your portfolio on a high-conviction $BTC trade as you would on something like $CSPR at $6.78, which is inherently more volatile and less liquid for many. The goal is to ensure that even if you're wrong on a particular setup, the resulting loss doesn't meaningfully impair your overall capital, allowing you to stay in the game and take subsequent opportunities.
