BTC: Watching 67k, funding rates, and a potential local top scenario

Been closely watching $BTC's reaction around the 67k-68k area. It's an interesting spot, not just for the price action but also how funding rates are behaving. They've been a bit elevated, which isn't necessarily a red flag in isolation, but combined with the recent struggle to gain conviction above 67k, it makes me cautious. If we start seeing a decisive move below 66k on higher volume, I'd be looking for a potential retest of the low 60s.

On the other hand, a strong break and hold above 68k, especially if accompanied by a reset in funding or new inflows, would invalidate this more conservative outlook for now. It's a tricky market, and while the long-term bullish narrative for Bitcoin is compelling, short-term corrections are always on the table. Just managing expectations and looking for clear breaks before committing to a stronger directional bias here.

Definitely agree on watching those funding rates closely. Seems like a lot of traders are still pretty bullish, which makes me think any sustained dip might be quickly bought up, unless we see a significant capitulation in those rates.

It's interesting you bring up funding rates with the price action. I'm still trying to get a handle on how much weight to give funding rates in these situations. Do you find them more reliable as a counter-indicator when they're extremely high, or just generally as a sign of overextension?
