INR surge and BTC implications
Watching the $INR today, seeing that +4.47% move to 13.31 after touching 13.35, it's certainly grabbing attention. Coupled with the $SSE seeing nearly -20% to 0.1567, it feels like we're in a period where capital flows are actively seeking perceived safety or yield, and emerging markets are highly volatile. My read is that this kind of sharp move in a major currency pair, especially with such a strong deviation from the norm, hints at underlying pressures in the global liquidity landscape.
For $BTC, I'm still in wait-and-see mode. The narrative often ties into flight-to-safety, but sustained strength in other assets, or a preference for specific fiat during times of stress, could divert some of that. Noticing that $BTC has been range-bound for a bit now, I'm curious if this INR action signifies broader instability that could eventually spill into crypto as a hedge, or if it reinforces a stronger dollar thesis that might make BTC less attractive in the short-term. Maintaining my long-term positions, but watching for signs of conviction for new entries, especially around key resistance levels.
The INR move is interesting, but I'd be cautious about drawing too many direct BTC implications from a single day's FX volatility. Emerging market outflows are nothing new; it doesn't automatically mean crypto is the next safe haven.
