The folly of chasing a moving target with BTC
My biggest mistake with $BTC wasn't the initial entry, but rather the stubborn refusal to re-evaluate my thesis as market conditions shifted. I was so fixated on a long-term hold through what I thought was merely a healthy correction that I ignored clear signs of structural weakness on the lower timeframes, effectively turning a position into a hope. Moving a mental stop to justify a deteriorating trade is a great way to erode capital.
This hits close to home for a lot of us. It's tough to admit when the initial thesis breaks, especially after you've invested significant time and capital. That 'hope' stage is where many turn a manageable loss into a devastating one.
