On-chain metrics and the KYC issue

It's interesting how much discussion there is around on-chain metrics for $BTC, predicting movements and sentiment. However, a less talked about aspect for institutions is the increasing scrutiny on source of funds even after the initial KYC process. What are others seeing in terms of the regulatory pushback or enhanced due diligence requests when large sums move from self-custody or older, less transparent wallets?
