Does it significantly differ in terms of documentation requirements and turnaround times compared to, say, a top-tier institutional broker?     I've found it really depends on the prop firm. Some are surprisingly quick, especially the newer ones using more advanced digital identity verification. Others, particularly those tied to older infrastructure, can be just as cumbersome, if not more so, than a traditional broker. The key difference seems to be their internal compliance workflow and how much they've invested in onboarding tech.
