Scaling out of $DAX positions - how do you manage?

Hey everyone, still relatively new to trading more volatile indices like the $DAX. I'm finding it tricky to scale out of winning trades without giving back too much profit on pullbacks, especially when momentum starts to waver. Do you use specific price action signals, or is it more about time-based exits once a certain target is hit? Curious how more experienced traders here approach managing their exits in these quicker markets.

    Ah, the classic 'how to take profit without immediately regretting it' dilemma. I find my 'specific price action signal' is usually the moment I realize I've given back about half my gains, which is a surprisingly consistent and painful indicator. Perhaps focusing on something less emotionally driven might be a better approach.

    For DAX, I've found it helpful to split my exit strategy. I'll take a partial profit at a key resistance level or when an initial target is met, then let a smaller portion run with a trailing stop. This way, I lock in some gains but still have exposure if the trend continues.
