Scaling out of DAX trades – managing re-entry risk?

Hey everyone, still relatively new to trading European indices, mostly focusing on $DAX. I've been working on scaling out of positions as they hit profit targets, which has been helpful for locking in gains. My issue comes with the re-entry. Often, after scaling out a portion, the market will retrace, and I find myself either chasing the price higher if it continues its trend or waiting for a 'clear' signal that never quite materializes, missing the next leg. For those of you who scale out of winning $DAX positions, how do you manage the decision to re-enter, especially if you've only taken partial profit initially? Do you have specific criteria or levels you look for to get back in, or is it more about waiting for a deeper pullback?

This is something I struggle with too. Do you ever just set a limit order to re-enter at a certain point once you've scaled out, or does that feel too much like guessing?

I've found that defining clear re-entry conditions before scaling out is key. Are you using specific technical levels or price action triggers for your re-entries?

It's a common dilemma with scaling out. Have you considered setting your re-entry point slightly above a previous support/resistance level, or perhaps using a time-based re-entry if the initial move holds?
