Questioning Broker Fees and Execution for BTC: Is the juice worth the squeeze?
Been looking at different options for scaling up some $BTC positions and the fees/spreads across various brokers and exchanges continue to be a sticking point. Seems like every platform has a slightly different model, and what looks good on paper for maker/taker fees often gets eroded by spread slippage on larger blocks, or opaque funding rates. The KYC/AML hurdles are one thing, but consistently getting good execution without feeling nickel-and-dimed is another.
Anyone finding a sweet spot with specific types of brokers for BTC that handle decent size without killing you on the way in and out? The volatility is enough to manage; excessive friction from the platform just compounds the problem. Are there any less talked-about aspects of total transaction cost people are factoring in these days beyond the headline figures?
