Gold's Stubborn $2300 - A Level or Just Noise?
Been watching XAUUSD pretty closely lately, and that $2300 level is proving to be a real head-scratcher. It feels like the market is having an existential crisis around it, with every push above met by an equally convincing rejection. I'm leaning towards it being more than just psychological; there's some serious volume being transacted right there, suggesting a battleground for positioning rather than just a round number.
My current scenario sees a break and sustained close above $2315 as the key to unlocking the next leg higher, potentially targeting $2350-$2360. The invalidation for that bullish move, for me, would be a convincing close below $2285. Below that, we're likely looking at a retest of the $2260 support, and frankly, things start looking a bit uglier from there. Just my two cents, interested to hear if anyone else is seeing similar action around this range.
