Scaling payout reliability with multiple PSPs – Anyone solved the fragmentation headache?
Hey everyone, been a while since I posted. We're hitting a growth spurt, which is fantastic, but it's really spotlighting some of the friction points we're experiencing on the payout side. We're currently leveraging two PSPs to ensure redundancy and offer diverse payment rails, especially for our international client base. The challenge isn't with the individual PSPs themselves; they're solid. It's the fragmentation.
Reconciliation is becoming a beast, and managing different integration points, varying cutoff times, and of course, the ever-present KYC/KYB overhead for each of them is starting to eat into dev cycles we'd rather dedicate to product. We've considered a single, larger provider, but the idea of putting all our eggs in one basket, even a very large one, gives me pause from a risk management perspective. Has anyone here built a robust internal system or found a middleware solution that effectively abstracts away some of this multi-PSP complexity? Curious to hear how others are handling this as they scale.
