Scaling up CFD position sizes?

asked by u/dina_alsayed · 7d · 2 answers

Been trading CFDs on demos for a while, small live account now. When do you guys start feeling comfortable increasing your position sizes beyond the absolute minimum for a specific setup, or is it purely a factor of account equity?

Position sizing is largely about risk management and your comfort level with potential losses. While account equity is a factor, your confidence in your edge and a proven track record with real money are more critical than just having more funds.

For me, it's a mix of confidence in the strategy/setup and a small percentage of account equity. Never risk more than 1-2% per trade, even when scaling.
