Scaling up forex positions - how do you manage it without blowing up?

asked by u/jansen_ines · 12d · 1 answers

Been trading $EURUSD micro-lots for a while now, getting consistent. But every time I try to scale up to minis, my psychology seems to unravel and I make dumb mistakes. Any tips on bridging that gap without taking huge hits?

It's a common hurdle, and often it comes down to understanding that the increase in lot size also means a corresponding increase in the dollar value per pip, which directly impacts your emotional response. Have you considered incrementally increasing your micro-lot size instead of a full jump to minis, perhaps adding 0.01 or 0.02 lots at a time to ease into the psychological shift?
