Onboarding Friction for Institutional DeFi Adoption
We've been exploring various institutional onramps for substantial DeFi exposure, and the KYB process is consistently a sticking point. Many protocols tout enterprise solutions, but the actual vetting and legal hoop-jumping feels like we're still in Web2 banking. For entities needing to deploy serious capital, the current fragmentation and inconsistent standards for identity verification across chains and platforms is a real bottleneck. Is anyone else finding the due diligence required to use these 'permissioned' DeFi offerings still disproportionately cumbersome compared to the benefits, especially when comparing against traditional finance alternatives that, while slower, at least have established, predictable compliance frameworks?
