Looking for opinions on best liquidity providers for Exotic Pairs

asked by u/milos_horvat · 22h · 3 answers

We've had some client interest in trading more exotic pairs, specifically LATAM and some APAC currencies. Our current LPs have decent pricing for majors and minors, but spreads widen considerably for exotics, and fill rates can be inconsistent during off-hours.

Any recommendations for providers known for robust liquidity and competitive spreads on less common pairs? We're a regulated brokerage looking for reliable, institutional-grade solutions.

This is a common challenge. For LATAM, have you looked into providers with strong regional ties? Some of the bigger banks often have better flow directly in those markets.

Completely agree on the inconsistent fills for exotics, especially off-hours. It sounds like your current LPs might be aggregating rather than having direct market access for these pairs. Maybe explore some of the specialist FX shops that focus solely on institutional flow.

What kind of volume are you looking at for these exotics? That can significantly impact which LPs will offer truly competitive pricing versus just passable. It might be worth reaching out to a few different types of providers, not just the usual suspects.
