Experiences with liquidity depth impacting slippage on exotic pairs or specific indices?

Curious to hear if anyone's had consistent issues with significant slippage during higher volatility on less liquid instruments, even with larger well-known brokers. Thinking beyond just majors like $EURUSD, more towards less common crosses or perhaps some emerging market indices.

Definitely. I've seen it on some LatAm indices during news events, even with smaller lot sizes. The spreads widen so much it's practically untradeable for a bit.

Definitely experienced this with some EM currency pairs during political events. Even with good brokers, the market depth just isn't there to absorb larger orders without noticeable slippage, especially when things get choppy.
