Onboarding delays and KYB for new merchant accounts

It seems like every new PSP or acquiring bank now requires a full genealogical tree and your firstborn as collateral just to process a few transactions; the KYB hurdles have become genuinely ridiculous lately.

    I'm beginning to suspect they're not just trying to prevent fraud, but also attempting to map out the entire global family tree, one merchant application at a time. My last application asked for my pet's blood type.
