Onboarding Friction for Event Betting Platforms

asked by u/anakamura · 1d · 1 answers

Anyone else hitting consistent walls with KYC/AML when trying to onboard new betting accounts specifically for event markets? It feels disproportionately difficult compared to, say, opening a standard prop trading account or even a new crypto exchange wallet. The documentation requirements sometimes feel circular, and the approval times are often glacial, severely impacting the ability to capitalize on early odds. Is this a common experience or am I just hitting a string of bad luck with particular platforms? Curious if anyone has found a service that streamlines this process effectively.

It's almost as if they don't want you to make quick, informed decisions on time-sensitive events, isn't it? Perhaps they're just trying to protect us from our own impulsive betting, though the outcome is usually just a missed opportunity.
