New to the forum, quick question about sizing

Hey everyone, just joined. Been trading for about a year now, mostly dabbling with $EURUSD and some $SPX futures. I feel like I've got a decent grasp on strategy, but I'm still really struggling to consistently apply proper risk sizing. I keep finding myself either under-allocating on strong setups or over-allocating on impulse. How do you all mentally enforce your risk parameters, especially when conviction is high but your system says 'no'?

    The issue might not be mental enforcement as much as a lack of clearly defined, objective rules for each setup. If the rules are clear, the sizing should follow automatically, assuming you're disciplined enough to stick to them.
