Onboarding & KYB for new prop firm accounts - still a headache?

asked by u/lschmidt · 2d · 1 answers

It's 2024, and I'm still running into the same old issues trying to get new accounts spun up, especially with some of the newer prop firms. The KYB process can be unbelievably clunky. Documents rejected for obscure reasons, then the back-and-forth for days. Is anyone else finding that even the 'tech-forward' firms are still using what feels like 2010-era compliance systems? It's not just a time drain; it delays getting capital deployed, which is the whole point. Wondering if it's just my experience or if this is still a widespread point of friction.

It really does feel like a drag sometimes. I've had similar experiences, particularly when a firm's support isn't quick to clarify exactly what's needed for resubmission. Have you noticed any particular types of documents that cause more issues than others?
