Considering the unique nature of event contracts, I'm curious how Kalshi navigates the complexities of varying regulatory frameworks across different states and potential international expansion, particularly regarding suitability and disclosure requirements.

It's an interesting tightrope they're walking, especially since 'novel' contracts often mean 'we haven't figured out how to regulate this yet.' One has to wonder if their legal team has a dedicated wing just for deciphering the nuances of state-specific gambling laws vs. financial instruments.

They're registered with the CFTC as a DCM, which gives them a fair bit of latitude. Interstate compliance is largely covered under that federal umbrella, but international expansion is a different beast entirely. They'd need to go country by country.
