Question on $EURUSD scalp vs swing and risk sizing

Still figuring out my sweet spot in forex, primarily looking at $EURUSD. When you're transitioning from scalp setups to something with more swing potential, how do you typically adjust your risk sizing per trade without feeling like you're over-leveraging on the longer hold, or under-sizing on a quick move?

That's a great question and something I grappled with for a while. For me, it often comes down to the percentage of my account I'm willing to risk on any single trade, regardless of its duration. So, if my scalp trades risk 0.5% per trade, my swing trades might also stick to that 0.5%, but with a wider stop loss, meaning a smaller position size. This way, the dollar amount at risk is consistent, even if the leverage ratio looks different.
