On not chasing the market and waiting for setups, how do you handle FOMO?

I'm still learning to be patient and not jump into trades that don't fit my criteria, especially when I see something like $SPX ripping. How do more experienced traders actually manage that urge to chase momentum?

    This is exactly what I struggle with! I'm trying to figure out if it's better to just watch the rip and learn from it, or if there's a way to participate without actually chasing. Do you use any specific indicators that help confirm a setup before you jump in?
