$Y breaking 850 by end of next week?

Watching $Y this week, it's been pretty range-bound. Given its current trading around 847.79 and the general market sentiment, I'd put the odds of it touching 850 by the close of next Friday around 35-40%. We'd need a clear catalyst for that push, maybe some unexpected positive earnings or a sector-wide uplift, otherwise, it feels like it might just chop around its current levels a bit longer. 35-40% seems optimistic without a clear catalyst. It's been range-bound for a reason. What makes you think it will suddenly break out of that pattern by next week?

35-40% seems about right without a catalyst. "Chopping around" is often the most likely scenario for a stock that's been range-bound, especially if there's no major news on the horizon. Betting on a breakout without a clear trigger is usually a coin flip.
