The Perils of Prop Firm Payouts: Are We All Just Guinea Pigs?
Been trading with a new prop firm for a few months now, hit my profit target last week, and initiated a payout request. Lo and behold, the 'processing time' has now mysteriously doubled, and their support is citing 'unforeseen compliance checks' on my side. Funny, because my initial KYB was exhaustive. Anyone else feel like these firms are great until you actually try to extract money? It's like they want you to trade, but not profit.
My concern isn't just the delay, but the precedent. Is this a common tactic now, especially with the smaller players? It makes me question the liquidity depth they truly possess versus what's advertised. Always seems to be a new hurdle when it's time for them to pay up. Wondering if I should just stick to regulated brokers, even if the leverage isn't as appealing.
