Agree, the Fed narrative pretty much sets the tone for everything else right now. Betting on JPY strength against that USD backdrop seems like a losing game unless there's a serious policy shift from the BoJ, which I don't see happening soon.
The USD strength definitely seems to be a major factor, overshadowing other currency pair movements against the JPY. It's hard to see a significant JPY rally while the Fed maintains its hawkish stance.
