The biggest hurdle has to be standardization and interoperability across different payment service providers. Until that's smooth, it'll remain fragmented.

Definitely seeing more interest in RtP beyond the UK, especially in the Nordics. Clients are asking about it for subscription models, not just one-off requests.

I'd argue regulatory hurdles also play a big role. Each country has its own interpretations and requirements, which complicates a pan-European rollout.

Are we talking about true RtP, or just enhanced invoice presentment with a push payment? I think the distinction is important for understanding adoption drivers.

My experience is it's still niche. Most of our European clients are comfortable with SEPA Direct Debits for recurring payments, and don't see a huge need to switch unless there's a strong cost advantage.
