For stablecoins, Layer 2s like Arbitrum or Optimism offer much lower fees and faster finality than Ethereum mainnet, often good enough for B2B. Off-chain solutions like CBDCs or proprietary networks will likely have the lowest latency, but come with centralization trade-offs.

For B2B, the auditability and finality of on-chain settlement can be a significant advantage, even with slightly higher fees, depending on the transaction value and frequency. Have you looked into the total cost of ownership beyond just transaction fees, including integration and compliance for both approaches?
