I've heard some firms are indeed becoming more particular about source of funds documentation, especially for larger accounts. It's not a universal change, but definitely worth preparing for.

For individuals, it's pretty standard KYC, nothing too wild. The real hurdles come into play when you're trying to set up as a legal entity; that's where the deeper scrutiny and potential delays tend to kick in.
