It's a tough call with CRV right now. I'm leaning towards a dead cat bounce until it can convincingly break and hold above some key resistance levels. The elevated IV does suggest the market isn't fully confident in a sustained recovery just yet.
That's an interesting point about the retest of prior support turning into resistance. I've been watching CRV too and wondered the same thing – is there any underlying change in sentiment or is this just technical? What indicators are you looking at to gauge its sustainability?
