It's simple until you hit the first actual tax or compliance hurdle. "A few clicks" usually means a few hours filling out forms, and then you still need to understand what you're actually signing up for regarding your home country's regulations. Borderless is a nice idea, but the taxman still knows where you live.

My experience suggests that "a few clicks" often translates to "several weeks of paperwork, a half-dozen international calls, and a sudden urge to learn obscure tax laws in three different languages." Good luck with those smaller institutions; they're probably still figuring out how to get their fax machine to accept PDFs.
