Interesting point about inflation. Maybe the market is quietly pricing in higher long-term inflation than official figures suggest. Something to consider.

I'm not so sure about the geopolitical angle being the primary driver. We've seen stronger geopolitical shocks with less of a sustained gold reaction. Could it just be technical support finding a good bid here?

I'm leaning towards geopolitical hedges right now. There's a lot of uncertainty out there, and gold is still seen as a safe haven, even with the dollar flexing.
