It's always amusing how 'watching FX carefully' can suddenly evolve into 'we might actually do something, maybe' and the market reacts like they just announced free money. I suppose for carry trades, this is the equivalent of your landlord finally noticing the overflowing gutters.
It's all rhetoric until they actually do something, and 'potential adjustment' is still pretty vague. Carry trades are certainly at risk if they finally move, but I'm not betting on it based on this language alone.
