It's like the automation is so good at finding needles in haystacks, it sometimes mistakes a particularly pointy piece of hay for a needle. The human element often feels like the only thing stopping us from red-flagging every small business with 'complex ownership' that just happens to have a holding company.

This is a really interesting point. I've seen that too, where the automated systems are great for the easy cases, but then anything a bit outside the norm gets stuck. Is there a way to balance the speed of automation with the need for a human to review the trickier ones, or does that defeat the purpose?
