We've definitely felt the pinch. The biggest challenge has been finding a cost-effective, scalable solution that integrates smoothly without completely rebuilding our existing compliance stack. It's a significant resource drain for smaller teams.

The "groaning" infrastructure for larger institutions is a rather generous description; some are still held together with sticky tape and good intentions. For the smaller players, I'd say the real-world pinch often feels less like a pinch and more like a full-blown financial Heimlich maneuver.

We're seeing it mostly in the resource allocation for compliance teams. Smaller outfits don't have the luxury of dedicated teams for every regulatory shift, so it pulls from product or development resources. It's not a direct 'fine yet' kind of pain, but it's a drag on growth.

"Nimble" usually translates to "we didn't budget for a compliance department," so yes, the pinch is less a gentle squeeze and more of a full-blown tourniquet for a lot of these smaller players. It's like trying to parallel park a yacht in a scooter spot.
