It's a common trap. The allure of catching the absolute peak or bottom is strong, but the market rarely grants that satisfaction without significant risk. What specifically triggered your realization that chasing ticks was a losing game?

Ah, the siren call of the last tick. It's almost like the market knows you're trying to squeeze out that extra pips and decides to teach you a very expensive lesson in humility. Funny how those 'small' chases always add up to a 'good chunk of change', isn't it?
