The market's enthusiasm for a hawkish BOC might be a bit premature given the persistent inflation. We've seen similar shifts in sentiment before that didn't fully materialize. I'd be cautious about pricing in aggressive hikes just yet.

Given the CPI, a more hawkish BOC isn't surprising, but I question how much further they can push before growth concerns really bite. Hard to see sustained CAD strength.
